Mille lacs is part of Multiple Watersheds
Under the One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P) program, water planning has shifted from the local level to the watershed level. A watershed is a common area of the land that drains all streams and rainfall to a common outlet. The vision for the 1W1P program is to create a local water plan on a major watershed boundary instead of the traditional county boundaries.
