Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum trilobum)

Highbush Cranberry does best on well drained soils that are moister that average. It is a tall, leggy shrub with white, flat-topped flower clusters and bright red fruit late in the summer. The foliage turns a beautiful orange/ red in the fall. The fruit can be used in jams and jellies and is eaten by a variety of birds. This shrub is very useful in windbreaks.
