Assisting area people with soil and water resource management

Rum River Watershed Partnership

Under the idea of One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P), partners across the Rum River watershed have come together to complete a Rum River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan. A watershed is an area of land that drains all the streams and rainfall to a common outlet. The vision for the 1W1P program is to create a local water plan on a major watershed boundary instead of the traditional county boundaries. Together, all of the partners have created, adopted, and now are implementing a comprehensive plan to include restoration, protection, and preservation of our watershed.
